My Little Pony So-Soft Restoration Part 3- Paint and Hair

After quite a long break, we are back to finish up our deflocking of Skippity Doo, a So-Soft pony that was in desperate need of restoration. In this final part of our series, we touch up her cutie marks (symbols) and her eyes with acrylic paint. Then we review how to replace the tail using a zip tie to prevent rust formation in the future. Finally, we style her hair as well as reviewing some basic hair styling tips. After a year and a half wait, she's all set for display!

RetroBlasting received a request from a fan - Tim - who thought he had lost all his childhood toys in a house fire when he was a kid. Recently, however, a shoebox was found that had been in the attic, and it contained one lone survivor. Tim had painted this R5-D4 unit red as a kid and was unhappy with the result, so the toy was tossed in a random box and forgotten. But since it was the only toy he had left, he contacted us to ask if we could salvage this little droid, and we were excited to take on the task!
